Don’t say the good folks over at Apple have never done anything for you. The tech giant is giving away $50 credit for customers who replaced a battery in an iPhone 6 or older model between Jan. 1 and Dec. 28, 2017.
Apple Inc. will give that partial refund to some customers who paid full price for phone battery replacements in 2017. This comes after Batterygate when Apple disclosed to owners it began diminishing the performance of some of its smartphones last year to preserve battery life.
When you battery is in its optimal state, it should hold a charge for you all night long. Perfect for those times when you are having an extended session of the best phone sex you’ve ever had!
Many Apple users even sued the company because of the software updates to older phones: iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE models were slow. The refund will reduce the cost of the battery replacement from $79 to $29.
So if you bought an iPhone at full price before Dec. 29 to replace an out-of-warranty battery, you are eligible for $50 refund if it was done at an Apple store, Apple Repair Center or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
So, look out for your inboxes. Apple says it will notify eligible iPhone owners know via email before July 27 on how to obtain an electronic funds transfer or a credit on the credit card used to pay for the battery replacement. In the mean time, charge up your iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE models so you have enough juice to call up your local chat line.
